How do I get Emailer to download Email via another ISP, i.e. without directly connecting to CompuServe?

If you mean, downloading your CompuServe email from another provider, it's probably not possible, unless Compuserve provide POP (Post Office Protocol) access.
But I'm almost sure they do not.
You should ask Compuserve.
