I have tried loading win95 3 times.  And when I do I find that I can't
dial out with my trumpet winsock any more. When I tried using the 95
install to dial the internet TCP/IP
I could not make it work. I kept getting messages that the dial up
network protocol were not correct.

You need to obtain the MS Internet Explorer installation from the Internet and install it on your Windows 95 system. IE will install and configure all the necessary dial up protocols and services.

Hope this will help.
Costya.

Check you have

Client for Microsoft windows
Dial Up Adapter
TCPIP

in control panel-networks

Also reinstall communications from your win95 cd rom-go to control panel-add remove programs

You could have problems if your modem is on com4
