I want to start my own business at home.  What must I know to become a Web Designer and can I do this at home?  In other words, can I make a living at it?  Is FrontPage enough or do I need to know Java, Java script, Shockwave, VRML, perl for CGI or whatever?  I have a pentium 133 with all the bells and whistles, numerous software programs and a scanner.  I am planning on buying a digital camera next month.  I am using the current version of Microsoft FrontPage 97. I am using Windows 95. All help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks.....Frank Hobson...........webman@the-wire.com

Depending upon how you want to offer the web services.
You obviously need a server that is connected to the internet.
You have two options here:
1> Get a dedicated connection to the internet
2> Collocate and keep your computer at a ISPs site
You need to pick an OS and platform that you are comfortable with.  (Many poeple use Unix or NT (They each have their benefits)  (I would assume you are interested in NT since you are using Frontpage).  You would need WWW server software, (NT 4.0 comes with something, or you might want to look at the Netscape servers).
