FileMaker PRO  Print to File or Copy and Paste

I have set up a new layout in FM Pro.  It prints to my printer and looks just fine.  Format is fine, all is ok.

In most apps I am familiar with I could then just select all and copy/paste the invoice to an email.  No way.

Tried to export the file but not text output that I could find.

My objective is to create the invoice and then be able to email it.

Is there a simple way to do this?  Is there another piece of software that acts in conjunction to do this?

Thanks, looking forward to this service. Interested in how it will work :-)

1. You can export selected fields of records by selecting 'File' -> 'Import/Export' -> 'Export Records'. Then specify the name of the file, the fields you want to export. To export to text files (that can be opened with SimpleText or any text editor), select Type 'Tab-delimited'.

2. This one is funnier : you need to create a layout with exactly the selected fields you want (it can be even only one big calculation field that includes stuff like "Dear Sir :" and "Best regards" at the end). Then select the records you would like to copy and press [cmd]+[opt]+[c]. All the selected fiels of all visible records will be copied into the clipboard. You can then paste them where you want, including your email software.

3. High-end : why don't you use FileMaker AppleScript abilities to directly drive a email programme?
