ClarisWorks

After running Norton or Disenfectant I get the following error message
related to ClarisWorks Fonts.  "The resource fork of this file is
damaged and may not be functioning properly, you should replace these
files with original copies".  I have re-installed ClarisWorks and still
get the message.
Mac 6115  Syst.7.5.3
40Ram  850HD
Claris 4.0

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

1. Remove Claris Fonts from the Claris folder in the System Folder, trash it, and trash the ClarisWorks preferences in the Preferences folder. Straight reinstallation of ClarisWorks may not have deleted these files.

2. Reinstall Claris Works from the original disks.

3. Run Norton's to check the result.

4. If the message still comes up, make sure everything on the disk that you value is backed up, run Norton's Speed Disk, and then Disk Doctor again.

If that doesn't work, please reply to this message and I'll suggest a further strategy, but hopefully the problem will be gone before you get this far.

Good luck.

Rifty.
