tape backup sw

someone donated an older Mountain tape backup unit to the school where I volunteer [id tag is Mountain  A1 model # 01-30526-01]. Is there a place where I can get Mountain sw to run the drive or is there any other sw package that will run the drive ?   this is for a PC [486]

I don't remember that model #. What is the tape format, and what OS are you using. Win '95 does a good job of supporting older tape drive.

Mountain tape drives are supported by the NCE computer group - they have a Web site at http://www.ncegroup.com/ 

I didn't find the software you need on their Web site (which is not too surprising, since it's an older unit), but you can probably request it from their technical support personnel via e-mail at support@ncegroup.com
