TreeCtrl label edit

I have two splitter panes each containing a tree control. The problem is that when I select an item in the first tree then go and select an item in the second tree, then go back to the same item in the first tree the edit label control opens. How do I prevent this from happening and still retain label edit in each of the slitter panes. Also I don't specify the TVS_SHOWSELALWAYS style when I create the tree control.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

The label edit control opens if an item is selected and you
click it once again. What you describe can only happen if
the item remains selected when you change focus to the other
pane. When you create the tree controls, you have specified
the TVS_SHOWSELALWAYS style, and this is the reason why your
controls behave as you described. Just remove the
TVS_SHOWSELALWAYS style and your problem will be solved.
