3c900xl support

I purchased a new 3com 3c900xl pci ethernet card, and it is not supported in the "make config" options of the kernel update (on version 2.0.23 I believe).  What can I do?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Until now, 3com 3c900xl are not precompiled in Linux Kernels. Donald Becker has written their appropriate driver. So have a look at http://cesdis.gsfc.nasa.gov/linux/drivers/vortex.html
