I'm interested in security and user tracking on web pages.
Would you mind explaining to me how you impliment the above on these pages?

I'm particularly curious about:
How you provide a user with alternate pages before and after logging in
How the login pop-up window has been implimented.

Thanks.

Ian.

Well, this basically needs you having access to the web server configuration - or your ISP doing that for you.

When configuring web server, you have the option of setting up users and groups, and access rights applying to the whole web or just parts of it.

You also have the option of configuring logging of users, with access log files applying again to the whole server or just parts of it...

The exact steps to do this depend on the web server you are on, anyway should be quite easy to accomplish.
