I have created protected templates with form fields in Word 7 using WIN95. In some of these form fields, the users are required to create lists by using the ENTER button. No prob... another line is made with a bullet in
the form field. However, when I copy the template to a Word 6 / Win 3.1 machine, the ENTER button moves to the next form field. How do I make the ENTER button stop acting like a TAB button.

Also, when I choose File - New and select one of the templates, it asks for an unprotection password. Can I stop this (It has never done it to me before)

Have you tried creating the templates in Word 6?  Maybe some backward compatiblity problems.  Even though they are support to be the same document version so times there are translation problems.

Try creating the template in Word 6 on the Win 3.1 machine and then use this one in both Word 6 and 7 and see if that makes a difference.
