ClarisWorks 4.0 will do everything I need: Address Book with mail merge, but it will not dial a phone except by copying to clipboard and then more stuff. A macro freezes computer.FileMaker does not seem to mail merge to a form letter. Act now for mac (windows does) will not dial. Does anyone know of a work around for this or a prewitten program that will function as an AddressBook with notes, dialing in a simple manner and mail merge to a letter which can be used in a window envelope? THANKS!

Filemaker Pro 3.0 seems your best bet.  Say you've got your names and addresses in a file called "People".  To do a mail merge, create a new layout "Letter" in People.  This would be a body with the text of the letter, interspersed with merge fields, which would contain the personal information of the recipient.  For example:

Dear <<Salutation>> <<First Name>> <<Last Name>>

This is your lucky day...

Here the words in the brackets are field names.  As for dialling, Scriptmaker does have a script step that controlls phone dialling, so it should be easy to make a button that dials the phone number of the current record.
