This depends on whether you made a database app or not.
If not, and you are NOT using auxilliary DLLs, then all you
need to do is give whomever the .EXE.

If you are using auxilliary data files, bitmaps, DLLs, then
you will have to distribute those too.

If your program does nothing with the registry, then
you won't have to worry about that.

If you want a good setup program, I suggest going to
www.installshield.com and downloading the trial version
of InstallShield express.  Point and click setup...once
you have the hang of it, it usually takes no more than fifteen
minutes to create a setup...it'll even automatically include
certain types of files if you are doing database work
in Delphi.  It is a good program and should be all you'll
ever need...the actual cost is $149, in case you evetually
want to purchase it.  The trial will give you a setup
with no strings attached.

If you plan on a professional release of your program. The first step you should take is writing up a good website and summary of your product. The installshield program that mheacock spoke of is an excellent program used for installing applications.

If you are only planning on releasing it to a few people, then there are several sites where you can upload files for free and your friends or downloaders could just download it from that site that you reference them to. When you release it, I suggest not releasing it as an .exe file. Many are suspicious of those now-a-days because of malicious codes. Make sure you zip it or archive it.
