GDI32.lib LNK1143 error

When I try to compile, I get the fatal error LNK1143 -
invalid or corrupt file: gdi32.lib, no symbol for combat section 0x4.

How to go around it?

Can you explain ? There could be several reasons. Firstly, do a scandisk. Make sure gdi32.lib is the proper. Tell me what u are doing in more detail.
