Lots of type 11 errors are fixed by system 7.6, but if you are stuck with 7.5.5 here are some things to fix;

First check all disks with Norton Disk Doctor.

Get the PPC Interupt Extension
ftp://mirror.apple.com/mirrors/Apple_SW_Updates/US/Macintosh/System/Other_System/

Get Netscape Defrost;
http://cygnus.rsabbs.com/~ssykes/nsdefrost.html

Get OpenTransport PPP 1.0
ftp://mirror.apple.com/mirrors/Apple_SW_Updates/US/Macintosh/Networking-Communications/Open_Transport/
(there are files which it installs that cause less crashes with FreePPP  I think its OpenTpt Modem that does the work)

Get Crash Less Often

Delete your netscape preferences (keep your bookmarks) and reinstall it.

Zap your PRAM (hold down Command option P R for two bongs at startup.)

Rebuild your desktop (hold down command option until the finder asks if you want to rebuild and continue to hold down option throughout (I use a little action figure to hold down the key for me))  There may be troubles with easy open and it will then rebuild again-  if you don't use easy open disable it with the exention manager. Or use Norton Disk doctor to rebuild your desktops.

Things to do if you are having memory problems (x doesn't have enough memory but you KNOW it does) get finder fixer and increase the size of your finder.  Use Now Utilities to increase the system heap size.

And something I have done only on a hunch and isn't guarrenteed at all- increase the size resource for the system suitcase to 4096 more then what it shows (20000 change to 24096) and reboot afterwards.  You can do this with resedit, and if you feel squimish about resedit Don't Touch It.  In fact maybe I shouldn't have mentioned it. It seems to have helped me- but it could have been  any number of the above that helped me out.

Happy bug quashing.
