When I use HC31.EXE which came with Delphi 1.0 to compile a help file, I get a Not Enough Memory message (even with 16Mb RAM). Is HC31 at fault, or is there a way round this problem?

HC31 is a DOS program so make sure that your default DOS settings are set in such a way to give HC31 enough memory to do what it has to do.

If you are using Win95 you set the default DOS settings by editting the properties of the 'MS-DOS Prompt' entry in the start menu.  In Win3.x you would change the DOSPRMPT.PIF (or similar name).

As for what to change the values to?  I suggest a little trial and error.  Start out by setting the values high.  If the problem is solved then back off the memory requirements until it works but doesn't use all of your available RAM.
