Problems with SB 32 PnP

I bought a SB32PnP-card today, and I'm experiencing serious problems, which I hope some of you can help me with.

When I run DIAGNOSE.EXE from DOS, both the 8-bit and 16-bit soundtests works fine (it passes all the tests). BUT! When I try the third test (called synthesizer or something like that), no music is played. What can this depend on?
When I try to start Win95, the plug-and-play devices begins to install, but when Windows is about to install "Creative Advanced Wave Effects Synthesis for AWE32", the computer hangs. My guess is that these two problems are connected to
eachother, correct?

I somewhere read something about High DMA-transfer or something, and that that could cause trouble, but I haven't been able to find anything about it in my mainboard-manual (an Intel ATC-2000 430HX PCA/ISA mainboard).

I also experienced the same problems with my old SB Pro-card.

Please help!

Greetings / Peter Larsson
