I wrote a simple program that calls a telephone number with MSComm control.
How can I learn if the number is busy.

you'll recieve input from the modem of "BUSY".

Thanks, but how can I receive the "BUSY"  from modem. By an AT command ? By a property in MsComm?

It will come in thru the OnComm event. After you send the dial string you will get one of sveral possible responses such as connect, no dailtone, busy, etc

You will get the "BUSY" input from the modem1
You can receive it like this:

if mscomm.input="BUSY" then ....
