Laptop won't suspen

My Toshiba 205CDS won't go into suspend mode since I installed my Ricochet wireless modem.  The mouse cursor freezes and I see from the task list that msgsrv32 is not responding.  Ricochet said the modem must be off to enter suspend mode (doesn't help, don't know why it would).  I'm guessing a DLL must be changed from teir install, but see no evidence.

Subject: Re: Suspend Mode

Thanks for your letter. I have not heard about this problem before.
Although it seems that just about every piece software these days
installs DLL's into the Windows directory, ours does not. In fact, our Ricochet installer is so simple, it simply uses existing Windows programs to configure the dial-up networking connection.
I would suggest looking into the BIOS configuration section of your computer for suspend mode options. Perhaps something got changed.
Have you called Toshiba yet? I couldn't think of anyone better qualified to answer your question.
     Sincerely
     Ricochet TS -738
