3D STUDIO PROBLEM

I have 3d studio, but I want to know how to make those
models like car or a human body.
Do I have to have some scanner or is the program enough.
And how much that kind of scanner costs.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

The simple way is use a 3part program.
3D studio do not provide this feature.
So, if you wanna resolv the problem, a solution is:
1. Use Autocad (ver. 13 or Autocad Light)
2. Add some scanner library: every themes have a library for recognition of obiects.
3. Create the 3D obiect in Autocad (or only the 2D shape and after assemble in 3D Studio).
4. Rendering the object in 3D Studio
______________
I don't know consistent freeware of shareware software (or library) to do it. I'm sorry.
______________
Some "programmer" use a very simple model (e.g. a box for a car)
and use a texture get by scanner (e.g. 2 photo of a BMW). I think that isn' a good method.
