Newsletter software

I am looking for a newsletter software which is more of a fill in the blank type of program. Any suggestions?

Depends on how much money you want to spend. All that I know of will require some effort to develop the template you want.

Adobe PageMaker and QuarkExpress are powerful pagelayout programs that you can get for $600 to $700. You can use them to layout text, but must develop your own artwork for placement, or buy some clipart.

Microsoft Word 6.0.1 for the Mac is a very good word processor that is available as a standalone app, or in the Office suite. Word, I believe, has a newsletter template that a "wizard" walks you through the first time. You can get Office for around $350, and Word alone for less (check some of the mail order catalogs). Word has some clipart, Office quite a bit more.

Corel also has a suite of apps that includes a word processor (I think it's called Ventura, or maybe it's Word Perfect). I haven't used it, but I'm sure it too has a newsletter template.

My wife, a graphic artist, prefers PageMaker. I'm a lethargic engineer, and I prefer MS Word.

Hope this helps.
