I am using WIN95 that is upgraded from Windows 3.11.  I am having numerous problems and have been told to upgrade to the release of Windos 95.  I think that it is called WIN 95b.  I have checked with our local software store and they told me that they can not get the product.

Will this solve incompatibility problems?  Will it help with the  kernel32.dll errors?  Where can I find this release?  Is it easy to install?  We do not have a repair center in our area so I am wondering if I can install this myself if I really need it .

The reason the software store told you this is that the only release of OSR2 (also called WIN95b) that is currently available is the OEM release.  It can only be sold with a new computer or new motherboard.  It is illegal to sell this as a standalone product.

Technically it is the latest release of "bug fixes".  Kernel32 problems are one of the strongest points of this release.  You should not have to install this product as most computers that use this release already have it installed.  As an OEM, I find it is easier to install from scratch that earlier releases.  If you need additional information email me at bill_ogle@reborn.com

Win95 service pac 1 has most of the "fixes" you need to correct the UPGRADE version... This can be found in the Microsoft Web site.. And are easy to install!
