I have a mailing list (moderated, digest format) with close to 60 subscribers, and need something to help in handling it.
I now have Netscape 3.01 & 3.01 Gold, Microsoft Internet Mail and News 1.1, and Eudora Pro 3.02.  None is totally satisfactory.
Is there inexpensive software made for handling mailing lists?

What specific features are you looking for in addition to those available in Netscape and Eudora?

Are you the admin of the mailing list?

Best thing would be if you could set up AIMS (Apple Internet Mail Server) and use one of the free tools that can be used with it to automate all those tasks. It's really easy to do mailing list of all kind with them.

The question is if you have access to an AIMS server. If not, tell me what your list is about and what traffic you might expect from it, and perhaps we find somebody who would host it for free (me, for example).

The most recent Macworld (p. 77) has a review on two programs that I think do what you are looking for:

LetterRip 1.0.2 $295
      Fog City Software: http://www.fogcity.com   404-454-1405
ListStar 1.1: $499
      StarNine Technologies: http://www.starnine.com  510 649-4949
