Mac Classic Memory

Is it possible to expand the memory of a Mac Classic
beyond the 2MB that it's configured with.  If not,
do you have any suggestions on where I might acquire
a used Mac system that will be adequate for MIDI
editing applications (~16MB RAM, monochrome monitor)

The mac classic can only have up to 4 megs total. Umm for used
systems try checking the classified ads in your local paper

Specifically what kind of memory I can add (to get to
4MB) would be helpful.  Also pointers to newsgroups,
bulletin boards, web pages where I can find equipment
would be appropriate
