Claris Emailer problem

I copied all my Claris version 1.0v2, folders and their contents to a floppy and then transfered them to a new computer.  When I try to use the address book on the new computer I get the message <Claris Emailer cannot open files of this type.>  I can open individual documents within my filing cabinets but none of the docs show up in my browser.  Without my address book I am lost.

Help!  How can I get all of my filing cabinets and my address book to show up in the brouser?

Two suggestions come to mind.  Firstly, check that the copied address book was not corrupted.  Try using another floppy, or even network the two machines and transfer the file via AppleTalk.  If this still does not work, I would try re-installing the Emailer program from the original diskettes - often copying application files doesn't do the trick.

Company tech support told me to throw out the preference file, forcing Emailer to ask me where the data files are so I can identify proper data files.  It worked

Make sure you copy all of the preferences files as well.  That is usually where all that data is stored.
