How to: 1st Webpage

I would like to build my first webpage and am looking for a simple free or shareware program that would be easy to use. BTW, I do have Office 97, but have not used it much.  Would also apprecitate the names of site providers that are free or reasonably priced; My current ISP does not provide space for a website.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

A service that will host a page for you is Geocities <www.geocities.com>.  I have my personal page there, and they are very good.  They allow you 2mgs of disk space... it dosn't sound like much, but my site is large and I haven't used HALF of that.

As far as a good HTML editor, I would suggest HomeSite 2.5.  It is shareware which is freely available on the net.  You can download it at my website <www.geocities.com/ResearchTriangle/3151>. (The link is at the bottom of the main page.)

Good luck and happy coding :-)
