Is it possible in Javascript with a client side imagemap to keep the program from printing out the instructions for each designated area on the map in the status bar? In the case of the job I'm doing, I think it gives away a lot of the "magic" of the program to see all the instructions print out in the status bar, but I can find no way to keep them from doing so.

Use onMouseOver in the map definition.

<area shape="rect" href="xx.htm" coords="0,0,100,100" onMouseOver="window.status='   '; return true">

I've been trying to get this answered for days, and assuming this works (and I don't know why it wouldn't) it's a wonderful little tip to add to my beginning bag of tricks.
