If you're working with data aware components, just try using a mask (via TField properties) in the TField you want to appear on the TDBEdit box for the date. As for logical fields, you could use a TDBChexBox.
Another way of masking dates would be to use a TMaskEdit component, but this is not data aware.

This answer does not give me what I need
and that is a CLIPPER like DBEDit fields
Check Boxes, require use of mouse, which
only slow down a Data Entry operators
input. Sorry for the Bad Grade But It
wasn't what I was looking for.

It seems that I don't exactly know what's your problem because if you only want a keyboard enabled dbedit field to accept only 'Y' and 'N', you only have to code OnkeyPress or OnKeyDown events to make them accept only those characters. And what about the date field?

Use masks, as javiertb suggested. They are referred to as pictures in the Database Desktop help.

For dates: "##/##/##"
For logical: "{Y,N}"

See the Database Desktop help for more information

Thankyou, you made me look again at javier's answer
After a long workout of trial and error, I figured
that you have to get into the fields editor by right clicking
on TTAble component.

Only one problem, now how to allow T/F or Y/N it seems
it won't let me do this, but this is not a major concern.
