I need help in setting up the use of a Seiko Instruments' Smart Label Printer on my PowerPC 7100/66.  This "smart" label printer does not work with AppleTalk.  I'm forced to choose to plug in my AppleTalk network in the printer port or I can plug in the Seiko label printer.  I pickup up a data transfer switch box which should let me  switch between
the the AppleTalk network to the label printer.

I must still restart the computer to move from AppleTalk to the label printer. Is there a piece of software that can help?

There are serial port switches (e.g. Port Juggler) that give you more serial ports, but they don't work very well. Why don't you use the modem port for the printer? Even if you are using this port (say, for a modem), it would be easier to put in a switch box on that port since you can change devices without having to turn AppleTalk on/off. BTW, you should not have to reboot after toggling AppleTalk.
