How do I create a chat room????

Well my question is, is it possible to create a chat room with html, or do I need to use cgi-. And if so how??? Is there some places out there that you know of that have some some file to view and maybe copy??? I am using Win95, with Netscape Gold 3.01. Thank You....

You can find a Perl based chat CGI script here:

Its simple, featureless, but easy to setup. You can get more complex systems (including ones which rely on Java servers to be setup), but this is easy enough for the first time user to install.
