Eject media

I have an IDE Iomega ZIP drive in computer and it irritates me because in WinNT eject button doesn't work. In Win95 I only press the eject button and diskette jumps out. In WinNT I must go to MyComputer and right click on Iomega icon and then selest eject command from menu. I would like to write a program that ejects diekette from drive because the procedure I just described is to complicated.

I have tried with interupts but WinNT pops up a window which says that the program is trying to access disk directly and it asks if it is OK. If I say it is OK nothing happens.

I have tried DeviceIoControl but in my Borland C++ 5 I don't have some defines which are described in the newest MSDN.

Have you tried MCIWndEject ? It seems to require Winioclt.h

The missing define is IOCTL_STORAGE_EJECT_MEDIA.

The docs say that the define for IOCTL_STORAGE_EJECT_MEDIA replaces IOCTL_DISK_EJECT_MEDIA
try using the DISK version instead, it looks like it was a simple rename issue.
In the meanwhile, I am going to try and figure out why my "latest and greatest" version of the compiler does not have the new reference!
