Delphi 3.0 and NetBIOS

How do I use the NB30 unit in D3??

How am I supposed to call this function ??
Does it work in NT 4.0 ?? If not what should I do  to make
it work ??

It normally works in NT 4.0. Check it by going to Control Panel/Network/Bindings and ensure that the bindings for netbios interface are enabled.

NetBIOS is called in a somewhat special manner. You set up a command and miscellaneous parameters in a NCB (Network Control Block), and then issue the command using the NetBIOS function. This maps very close to DOS interrupts, and makes porting of old dos apps easier.

A tutorial on netbios would be too long to include here, but if you give me your email address (either here or mail me at address erik@info-pro.no) I'll send you a document which I found on the net a couple of years ago, and which explains quite good how to use NetBIOS.
