Unexpected Errors occuring! Help!!

Hi, every time I open TeleFinder, Techtool PRO, or Quicktime VR, it quits out telling me "The application quit because an unexpected error occured".

I have tried with extensions off, but I either get the same message, or it simply quits back out with no message... Please help!

I have system 7.5.5, ... it stopped working ever since i got system 7.5 or >. It never happened with Sys 7.1.2...

They all still work niceley when i boot up from a startup disk... (except Duke3D demo)

I have done this to check, but all with no answer...

Norton Disk Doctor
Speed Disk
Disk First Aid
Rebuild of Desktop
Zapped PRAM
Extensions off
Re Install System Software from 7.5.5...

I have a PPC 6100/60 CD AV, L2 Cache 256k.

Ahhh, what can I do?!

If anyone can help me fix this, I will truly be so happy that I'll.. erm.. Well, be extremely happy ;)

Are you using the latest versions of those apps? It sounds to me like they aren't compatible with System 7.5. You can at least download the latest QT VR extension and test it out, to see if that's the case.

I have ALL the latest versions... Could it be that these programs are hard on some routines that I may need some Mathematic extensions etc...

You may have to reinstall your system. Pain in the butt, but I fear that's where the trouble lies. Make it a clean reinstall because you need to get rid of any old preferences. Some of these programs require extensions to be on, so it's no use turning them off.

Allow me to submit this as an answer if it solves your problem. I don't think anything else will. I gather from your last comment that scream's proposed solution is not going to work.

Good luck,

Rifty.
