Networking statistics

I need a program that can give statistics about network usage and protocols used. I have to count collisions and if posible locate the machine that is causing this.

use netstat or statnet . for statistics, netstat is ok. statnet shows you the traffic on your network interfaces in real time (normally).

If you want to have statistics about network traffic for protocols you should use something like net-acct.
