I have seen numerous questions about VB5 crashing on exit (and other ways) in the various VB 5 newsgroups. Microsoft is coming out with a VB5 patch (when I don't know) that is supposed to address many of the problems people are encountering with VB5<br />

Hey,<br />
I am writing a database interface with vb5 which is running the way that i want but when i exit the program a dialog box appears saying error: This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. Under the dialog details it says there was an invalid page fault in module vb5db.dll.<br />
<br />
Then when i hit close, I get another one on dbgrid32.ocx.<br />
<br />
Any ideas?<br />

Then when i hit close, I get another one on dbgrid32.ocx.

Any ideas?

vb5 program crashes on exit

Visual Basic is Microsoft’s event-driven programming language and integrated development environment (IDE) for its Component Object Model (COM) programming model. It is relatively easy to learn and use because of its graphical development features and BASIC heritage. It has been replaced with VB.NET, and is very similar to VBA (Visual Basic for Applications), the programming language for the Microsoft Office product line.
