First you must have connected a printer with a barcode-font.
Many professional HP-printers have this feature. Then you send
the escape-sequence for choosing the barcode-font to the printer
(using printf or fprintf) found in the printers manual. Then you
send the related characters (look in the manual, there must be
a table) to the printer/printfile. They wiil be automatically
converted to barcode.
I have done this some years ago and it works - if you have such
a printer.
