Mandy -  more information please. Are you using OT or FreePPP or what as the PPP connect program? Have you checked with your service provider about the problem. What is the error message that you are getting? Have you selected the internal modem in MacTCP?

Mandy,

I had the same problem after I added RAM to my Mac 7.5.1. It turns out it had erased many of my settings on PPP. I got out the information that came with my ISP and basically went through and re-entered all the info in both Config PPP and Mac PPP, just to be on the safe side. Have you tried doing that?

Also, I have noticed that periodically, my provider seems to be "out to lunch" for lack of a better word. And they just aren't answering. When this is the case, it usually works in like the next day or two.

Hope one of these suggestions helps.
