InstallShield Express Program Folder and Registry Default Keys

I have troubles creating a personal menu in the Programs menu... IS Express creates a shortcut to a folder placed under the <InstallDir>, thus it appears in the menu as a folder, not a submenu.
Furthermore, the Default registry keys I try to set (for extensions recognition in explorer, etc.) do not work!

As far as the shortcut to a folder goes, thats the best you will get from Delphi Version of install shield.  A major flaw, in my opinion.  New versions of install shield do not have this limitation.  Of course you would have to pay for it though.  :(

Sorry to be the one to break the news.

I would have to agree with SLEACH.  The istall program that comes with Delphi sucks unless you pay for the professional version.

Otherwise, look up "The Setup Factory" at http://www.IndigoRose.mb.ca/indigo
I bought their version of the installer and am quite happy with it.  It registers OCX's and lots of other things automatically.
