SINIX 5.41 NIS - Problem

Ich habe hier eine mx300 unter Sinix 5.41.
Wenn man im "Lan" unter "Verwaltung der Liste der Rechner im Netz" auf
"Erweitern und Ändern in der Liste der erreichbaren Rechner" geht, dann
erscheint nur:
"FEHLER:  Keine Selektion möglich! - Zur Fortsetzung bitte RETURN drücken"
Nach RETURN ist man wieder ganz normal im "Lan".
Unter "Auflisten der im Netz erreichbaren Rechner" erscheinen aber viele
Rechner (sieht zwar aus, als ob einfach nur eine hosts Daei eingezeigt wird,
aber ok).


Ebenfalls würde mich interessieren, wozu man die Datei /etc/networks
überhaupt genau braucht ????

Wenn man einen Stellvertreterrechner im Netz konfigurieren will, dann
erscheint genau der gleiche Fehler ???

If your host is a NIS client, you cannot change the NIS database
(which, in fact, is imported from a NIS server). If there is no
possibility in the GUI to add **your hosts** to the list of hosts
you may add them manually to /etc/hosts. Otherwise you must beg
your net-admin to add them to the NIS database.

/etc/networks is similar to  /etc/hosts, it describes the
mapping of IP net addresses to network names.
For example the  netstat  command references this file,
eventually.
/etc/networks will not be used for name resolution if NIS is
running (see man 4 networks, if available)-:
