Hello
  I have a AST Adventure Plus 5166. It comes with a ES1788 PnP Audiodrive. This card also comes with a joystick port. However, there is no joystick icon in the control panel and win95 keeps telling me I have no joystik installed. The joystick/gameport work in DOS games. Could someone tell me how to create a joystick control panel icon?

  Someone already told me to install a generic microsoft gameport using the hardware install program. The joystick worked but the soundcard didnt due to a conflict. There must be a way to activate the ESS joystick port.

Got a little ahead of myself.
1st, check and see if you have ""joy.cpl" in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM.
if not then you need to extract it from your cd to there.
If it is there see;

You did'nt mention sidewinder pad so I assume that is not what you are using.
