At work I have found a Centris 610 with a Apple PPC 601 Upgrade card. Problem is there are no instructions or software to get the thing working. I installed the Upgrade enabler and the matching control panel, which are available from Apple's FTP, and I can start the card up successfully.<br />

However using Norton System Info's (Version 3.2) benchmark my overall CPU performance is terrible, about 3 times worse than without the card. Norton also<br />
thinks I'm emulating a 68020.<br />

Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening? What am I doing wrong? Does anyone have the software or documentation for this product?<br />

All of Apple's hardware is produced solely by Apple Inc., who determines internal systems, designs, and prices. Apple buys certain components wholesale from third-party manufacturers. The current Mac product family uses Intel x86-64 processors. All Mac models ship with at least 1 GB RAM as standard.
