Hi.I'm new to C and have been learning for bout 2 weeks now.I'm using DJGPP as a compiler and would like to know other than compilers like Visual C++ and Borland,is Visual Age for C++ good because I finally saved up for a compiler.I'm not sure which compiler is the best out there and suitable for me.

This depends on what you want to do:
1. Real-time embeded software? (Watcom, maybe Borland)
2. MS Windows UI apps? (Visual C++, Visual Basic)
3. Multi-platform applications? (Visual Age, or stick with GNU)
4. Nicer IDE, just for educational purposes? (Borland, or Visual)
5. Make more money? (depends on other things)
6. Anything else?

The above answeres are not absolute; You can make great MS
Windows UI apps using Visual Age, Borland C++ or Watcom C++. You
can even write portable code using Visual C++ or Borland C++ (if
you try really hard).
So I guess the best recommendation will be to use the same
compiler as your co-workers/friends/teachers/mentors. This way
they can help you when you encounter problems.

Good luck!
