look up name and email address from .htaccess

I have .htaccess on my message board and i want them not to have to enter their name and email address when they post a message i want it to get it from a database. I need what does /htaccess calls the vable that ask for their name.

Any cgi-script that is running in a .htaccess controlled directory will be able to access the environment variable REMOTE_USER which you should use as an index into your database of names and email addresses.
