General Computer question

This morning, when I start the machine, it hangs after prompts "pipline brust sdram". The machine cannot start win95. I have started the machine by boot disk and cd as well as dir the harddisk directories, but files content cannot read or copy. Then, I use the NDD to check the harddisk, NDD prompts

"Error Reading Cluster 10,897 Relocating all good sectors in cluster 10,897 to cluster 540.."

at the phrase for analyzing Directory Structure. After a ong long time, another windows prompts

"ATTENTION: A serious disk error has occurred while writing to dirve c. Retry (r)?"

I reply "r", but it prompts again.

What can I do now? How to recover the directory structure? How to create this problem? The most important thing is how to backup the file in harddisk.

THanks

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Format your disk and restore your backup. Backups are made before a dis error not after. Sorry, but thats how life works.
