Windows95 Setup question

I'm going to try this one more time as some one got mixed up on what i meant this first two times around.
I installed win95 from dos. My autoexec.bat and config.sys are very empty.
When i try to play a cd-rom from dos it won't run the program, or the program will run but with no sound.  I bought "power 2 play" that helped on some games but i am still unable on some to get sound.

Now, listen carefully. I have set up disks from when my computer was new 3 years ago. I DO HAVE THEM.  I DO have my cds for win95 and plus. what i don't have is the wonderful technical knowledge that many of you who answered me before have. I appreciate the answers but if I haven't a "hairy clue" what you are talking about I am still in the dark.
So, please help  me to run my games in dos and dos-window, along with the sound.
thanks for your patience.

Schism,
You made me laugh with your question; "a hairy clue".
OK, you say your autoexec and config as of NOW is mostly empty?
It seems clear to me, if that it so, that we need to get your sound devices and parameters loaded.
Will you either post or send me copies of them; autoexec.exe, and config.sys.
Tell me what kind of sound card you have, make and model.
And if you have the setup disks for them have you tried to install them?

I'm marking this answered so I can deal with you comprehensively.
You may reject that if you wish, you won't hurt my feelings.
how about making copies of you Autoexec, config, win and systen ini's and zip them up and attach them to
bwil@erinet.com

or you can post them here.
Meantime, unless i'm missing something, install from you disks your sound cards software.
