The optimum site for system revievs is:
www.sysdoc.pair.com

I have been in this sector for a long time and believe me this site rules... I get a lot of info from there...Please spread the word...On a second thougt, don't...The bandwith for me is going to be much smaller ;->

Good luck...Allways

If you're going to be running applications that are NOT 'fpu' intensive('fpu' stands for "floating point unit"), then go with the AMD cpu. For apps that are 'fpu' intensive, you are far better off going with the Intel cpu, as no other cpu on the market has a better floating point unit than Intel.  Such apps that are 'fpu' intensive are: AUTOCAD, true 3D games(such as QUAKE or many new games not yet released).  If you are a big-time gamer, you will benefit greatly from going to the Intel cpu, and will also be able to sell it easier down the road.
