CR in user-defined resource text

I'm a first time Delphi user and I'm stuck on one small problem.  I know to add a carriage return in a string within a STRINGTABLE, insert \012.  However, when I try that in text within a user-defined resource, it prints a garbage symbol and doesn't perform a carriage return.  How do I insert a carriage return in this case?

Using the \012 is correct.  It sounds like the cr is being stored correctly and also being recovered correctly.  You dont say how you are displaying the string to view it.  Does the display technique (component or whatever) conver a cr to another symbol??   This should be pretty straight forward...  A bit more info maybe.

It may be helpful, but it really didn't shed much light on a solution.  I will look to see if displaying strings in a TMemo.Lines field somehow converts carriage returns to something else, however.  I do appreciate the response.
