HI,

I need to write a little program, that reads MS Windows HELP files (.HLP) and understands them:

- to view .HLP.
- to convert .HLP to RTF or HTML

I would appreciate any help in understanding the .HLP file format. I have check at "http://www.wotsit.demon.co.uk" "Wotsit's File Format Collection" and I got a text file and a sample C program that convert the .HLP to an .RFT and extract the Graphics, but I would need further assistance in understantding this!!!

Bye..

The best person for this is Pete Davis. His articles on the Windows Help File format is on the September and October 1993 issues of Dr. Dobbs Journal. Check out http://www.ddj.com/ftp/1993/1993.10/ and download allhelp.zip. You may also want to get your hands on their CD-ROM and look up the articles.
