Purchased pc with NT4.0 installed in first of 3 FAT drives.  Removed NT to install os/2 v4.  Fdisk will not see entire drive, and Partition Magic reports an error 108 (partition ends on wrong boundary?).  OS/2 installs on drive C, but it appears I'm stuck with a 2gb drive rather than a 6gb.  Format won't touch D:, chkdsk hangs on D:, and E: is simply not there.

Any help will be much appreciated!

This is could be caused by several sources.  The most likely is is sector/cylinder mapping for the large drive.  If this is a SCSI drive you might try the drive mapping options.  If not, nuke it.

I don't know if you know linux.  If so, boot to the correct boot/root floppies. That fdisk will tell you what is going on.

I had the same problem with the quantum gigfoot 6.4 GB

Call the IBM helpdesk and they send you the latest IBM1S506.ADD

this is a fixed version for large drives

If you want i can send you a copy of my disk
