The book to buy is
tcl and the Tk Toolkit by John K Ousterhout, Addison-Wesley, 1994. ISBN 0-201-63337-X

You may also find the following tutorial useful while you wait for the book to be delivered.

The answers given are good for Tcl and Tk. But, I was not asking about Tcl which is a different language. I was asking
specifically for PERL and TK. So, really, the answers, while valuable
don't address my question at all.

I think you will find that Perl TK is too new for there to be any books specifically for it. However architecturally Perl Tk is the same as Tcl Tk and so the principles for one will apply to the other.

You can find out about some of these issues at the following URL.

http://personal.veritas.com/~brianw/rivet/PythonWorkShop.html

There is also a perl tk email list.

send an email to ntk-request@franz.ww.tu-berlin.de

with the body of the message having the single word 'subscribe'
