Hi all!
I´ve got a program on my HD which requires to be run
from the CD-rom prompt. Can one create a fake CD-rom partition by using space on my HD? Also, this program
needs to be setup from within Win95. DOS-tricks won´t work!
I intend to use the fake prompt temporary so I will need
to remove it after setup. Can anyone crack this one???
Remember that my program is on the harddrive NOT on CD-rom!!

Sorry, we can't crack this program. You can create a virtual CD-ROM with a part of your HD.It's temporary only, but to create a virtual CD-ROM, you must disactivate your CD-ROM drivers else Fake CD wont work.

You can also download a fake cd program that will make a directory as your cd-rom.  You can find the prog in hacker sites.

Logicraft information systems makes a windows 95/98 program that lets you truly emulate a cdrom drive. It is always there, but it can be uninstalled.  The drive acutually appears in the explorer and my computer, and even in the system devices labeled "Virtual CD-ROM".  This program builds a cd image from a designated area to make a container file.  The user can have as many cd containers as he wants.  Simply start V-CD and then "insert" (by drag and click) the desired fake cd.  These containers are stored on the hard disk.  V-CD is downloadable from certain cites, but it requires that you have licensing to copy the cd.
